WINZ wins—getting a Residential Care Subsidy or Loan

We regularly receive instructions from clients to assist them with the financial means assessment under the Residential Care and Disability Support Services Act.

This includes assisting them with completing the residential care subsidy and loan applications, and ensuring they have provided all supporting documentation. We see the process through to completion with WINZ.

If an applicant has a family trust, WINZ requires a lot more information to determine what, if any, provision or support they consider should be made from the trustees. Dealing with these matters can become complicated, especially as arguments can arise about whether the applicant is eligible for a subsidy or what personal contribution they should make. Guidance dealing with these matters becomes very important and this is where we step in. This is where we can help you as a trusted advisor.
